A few months ago I discovered Animoto.com and I've been hooked since!

Animoto is a web based application that creates a slideshow out of your images. But not just any slide show.

What animoto creates is a customized presentation of visuals and music. The images seem dance to the music!

I first used it to play with photos of my kids. But then I started thinking about how easy it would be to apply it to work.

Its free to create a 30 second video, so I tought I'd give it a shot. I uploaded some photos, and clicked "create," and ended up with a nice little promo!

Then I got to thinking about how nice it would be to use this application for other video needs. I wanted to create a short video promoting and explaining online volunteering, but needed to have some text involved. So I created a power point. Some slides had text, others had photos or graphics. When I had all the slides I wanted, I save the entire presentation as jpgs. Then off to animoto.com I went and uploaded the slides. I needed this video to be longer than 30 second, so I forked over the $3 for a full length. This is what I got:

Another nice thing about animoto- if you don't like the way your video turned out, you can remix it for free! If you need to add some images or take some away, or change the music...you can remix it for free!

You don't have complete control over these videos, but so far I've been very pleased with what I've gotten.
